about us
Our philosophy
Helen and Gordon believe in an holistic approach to wellbeing through a combination of movement-based mind and whole-body practice. Incorporating their professional skills and experience with their yoga teaching, they focus on body movement in co-ordination with breath to improve mental and physical wellbeing. As consultants and educators, they bring their clinical knowledge and skill to their classes, events and workshops.
About Gordon
Gordon is a qualified sport scientist, sports therapist and Ashtanga and Yin yoga teacher. In his clinical practice, he specialises in injury and performance soft tissue therapy. Gordon has a MSc in Applied Sports Science and a level five Diploma in Clinical Sports Therapy. He is currently completing a PhD with a focus on fascia and biotensegrity.
About Helen
Helen is a registered psychologist; accredited EMDR therapist, and Ashtanga and Yin Yoga teacher. Her interests are in combining mental health and psychology, with physical health and the benefits of movement and breath such as yoga. In her private therapy practice, she specialises in trauma, anxiety and depression.
About Joshua
Joshua has a BA in History and a MSt in the History of Art and Visual Culture, both from the University of Oxford. He is a contemporary yoga flow and restorative yin teacher with many years of yoga experience. Joshua is sensitive to the needs of beginners, as well as those with complex embodied and psychological histories.
About Kajika
Another member of our team is our 16-and-a-half-year-old Bengal fur baby called Kajika, which means walks without sound. He loves being on the yoga mat, especially when we are in the middle of practice and does a mean downward cat on the mat. His favourite pose is savasana which he has really mastered.
That’s our family and we look forward to welcoming you to our workshops and events.
